The position is for an Agile Coach that will be responsible for guiding and implementing Agile principles within the Anthem Enterprise Analytics and Insights organization. This role will support delivery teams that provide application development and implementation for various business organization including Program Integrity, Medicare, Clinical Quality, and Healthcare Analytics. This position will report directly to the head of the Enterprise Analytics and Insights - Clinical Analytics Applications team.

Responsible for providing Agile leadership and applying Agile knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to ensure delivery of project deliverables, processes, and systems. Supports continuous improvement of project execution and delivery processes.

The individual must be able to lead and manage program / project business and IT stakeholders in a collaborative manner in order to successfully deliver planned scope, with quality, and according to approved timelines. The individual should be able to work independently and align with direction provided by leadership for executing according to organizational strategy and priorities.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Incorporate Anthem Agile / SAFe concepts into execution activities as appropriate as directed by the Anthem Agile Center of Excellence

* Leading project meetings; identifying, documenting and prioritizing scope changes; facilitating approval process; maintaining / updating project documents

* Acts as change agent and demonstrates to the teams how the Agile processes and systems work.

* Guide and mentor multiple teams in the consistent practice of Agile concepts, including roles, ceremonies, processes, compliance, and tool usage within Anthem's Agile delivery context.

* Improves application of Agile principles. Improve team understanding of Agile practice.

* Promote metrics-led, continuous improvement of the Agile delivery processes and propose adaptations of the methodology to address novel situations.

* Assists with improving operational metrics in efficiency and quality.

* Assists with refining the Agile delivery process to reduce areas of uncertainty that become impediments for the team.

* Ensuring stakeholders are held accountable for assignments and escalation is conducted when needed in a timely manner

* Ensure that team feedback disseminated and communicated to IT so that potential changes can be implemented enterprise-wide.

* Participate in both the internal and external Agile community to stay abreast of challenges, leading practices, and emerging trends.

* Continue to improve knowledge of Agile activities at Anthem as well as in industry.

* Provide transparency to issues, risks, internal / external dependencies, and understand when escalation is needed to overcome obstacles

* Build trusted sponsor and stakeholder relationships

* Communicate effectively by adapting style and message for diverse audiences

* Demonstrate confidence in resolving issues through negotiation with business and IT partners to achieve project goals

* Demonstrate understanding of Agile framework and iterative development practices and implement methods for tracking deliverables generated within this model

Qualifications

* Requires BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with IT focus degree.

* Minimum of 5 years' experience implementing Agile methodologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Requires CTC or equivalent.

* SAFe Agilist (SA) / SAFe Program Consultant (SPC4) or equivalent, preferred.

* Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams and iterative development approaches

* Experience with Agile/Scrum software development framework

* Preferred experience within small sized Agile implementations (e.g. 5-7 teams).

* Demonstrated leadership, communication and problem solving skills required.

* Experienced working with both business and IT stakeholders

* A strong background and experience in testing and managing program level cross-functional activities

* Demonstrated application of and proven success of Agile methodology, management tools, analysis and research tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools required.

* Tracking and managing time and budget against plan

* Experience in creating an effective team environment

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts

* Experience communicating with a variety of both business and technology stakeholders and cross-functional groups

* Excellent organizational and planning skills

* 3-5 years of experience in broad-based information systems, full life-cycle application development and/or building enterprise applications.

* Executing communication plans & regularly reporting status to the Program/Executive leadership

* Experience in highly integrated multi-tier large scale applications
